Foster Babies!

Here are the 2 new foster kittens. I decided to name them after CO Avalanche players to commemorate us making it to the playoffs (although today they didn't do so well). So the boy is named Marek (after M. Svatos) and the girl is Milan (after M. Hejduk). They are about 6 weeks old and were hissy/spitty the first 2 days. Now they are playing and acting pretty good around me. They still hiss occasionally, but for the most part, they are used to me. This is such a fun thing to do. I just love watching them come out of their shells and watching them play. Kittens are hilarious. But I just don't know that I'll ever have one as my own. They are crazy and get into things way too much. I would have to unplug everything in my house if I had one of these roaming free. I'm always surprised that we don't see more electrocuted kittens at the hospital since my fosters always seem to chew on the cords in that room (hence why I have nothing electric in there).

I am also dog sitting for a friend, so my house is pretty crazy right now! Luckily everyone is easy. The dog (Zoe) fits in really well to the routine and the kittens basically just need to be fed and held throughout the day. Eventually I'll try to get them used to the dogs. Pacey is scared of kittens because they hiss at him and then he runs away! Greta loves them. Sometimes I worry since she loves to chase squirrels, but she's usually pretty good. She let some of them try to nurse on her in the past! She just looked at me like, "what the heck are they doing to me, Mom?"

Time to catch up on my tv shows I've been taping throughout the week. There's just not enough time for me to keep up!
