Finally, our rafting picture

I finally got our rafting picture that we all chipped in for. Photographers line up near rapids and take pictures for you to buy - kind of like pictures you can get at the end of rollercoasters. You can't really see it in this small picture, but our guide put in these fake teeth so he looked like some hillbilly. He was funny. And I can't believe he stood up through the rapids and didn't fall out!


Work is going much better this week - sorry for the venting in my other post. Just have to get it out sometimes, you know? I've decided to focus on the many more positive people that are there and it's helping.

I've been on the South Beach Diet for 3.5 days now and have lost 2.5 pounds. I know you're not supposed to weigh yourself, but I can't help it... The great thing about cutting out sugar and pasta/bread/rice, is that you lose it in the tummy first - the part that was depressing me. And it's much easier this time than last time. Last time the first 3 days were torture. But I got a new SB cookbook and it has some yummy recipes in it.

Well, I have to go shopping for some kayaking gear - it will be cold next week. And I have to jump on the elliptical, clean the guinea pig cage and run errands. Days off just aren't what they used to be - I miss laying around watching tv or movies...

good luck with the sb! i would try it but i only eat pasta/bread/rice with some sugar thrown in for good measure!

that's not true really, i eat tons of veggies but they are so much better mixed with starch!
